Sometimes referred to simply as the Dub, the waterfall bong is an effective way to use even a small amount of marijuana.  Similar in many respects to the gravity bong, the waterfall bong can be made with simple household items very quickly and can be used again and again.  Read this guide to learn how to make this stoner classic.

Pros: This device can be built with common household items, making it a cheap and accessible option for smoking.  The high concentration of smoke into a single hit delivers a large about of pharmacologically active chemicals all at once, resulting in an intense high.  The use of the water to fill the chamber cools the smoke slightly, but it is still harsh.

Cons: The waterfall bong has to be refilled with water everytime you use it, which can make it very inconvenient.  One way to reduce this problem is to have a catching vessel in which you catch the falling water for reuse.  If it is cold outside, the water on the ground can cause ice to form making a walkway slippery.  Large hits can be extremely harsh.

Materials (See figure 1)

• Universal Bottlecap Attachment (Learn how to make it here) 
• Water Bottle
• Scissors
• Lighter

Construction

Construction is amazingly simple... only 2 steps once you have the Universal Bottlecap Attachment!

First heat the tip of the scissors with the lighter for about 30 seconds. (See figure 2)

Then simply poke a small hole into the bottle near the bottom with the hot scissors.  Twist to form a nice round hole.  (See figure 3)

Use

To use the waterfall bong, simply fill the bowl of the Universal Bottlecap Attachment with some marijuana and set aside.  Place your finger over the hole in the bottle and fill the bottle most of the way to the top with cold water.  Screw the cap back on and head somewhere you can let the water drain.

Place the lighter over the bowl and release your finger.  As the water drains from the waterfall bong, it will pull the flame of the lighter through the marijuana and the bottle will fill with smoke.  Once the water has drained sufficiently, simply remove the Universal Bottlecap Attachment and inhale quickly.
